I Am In It, Vol. 1 (Live at The Sound Castle) was recorded on the fourth and final day of his residency for the recording of his sophomore solo album I Am In It, Vol 2. After feeling more than satisfied with the recordings for Vol. 2 on the first three days, Greg Orrē decided to record live run throughs of all three I Am In It albums from front to back, as well as two sets of covers. The piano/vocal performance of I Am In It, Vol 1 (Live at The Sound Castle) was released on August 28, 2022 — exactly two years after the release of the original studio album on August 28, 2020.
